“What was Gabriel describing to Mary? Who was Gabriel describing in such a way? Why was Gabriel describing in that manner?” (A Prayer of Hope)
The Word that has withstood the test of time, lasting throughout the ages is filled with enlightening, fascinating, intriguing, and even mystifying writings. It provides explanations for life applicable in every era of human history. While it is honored as sacred and praised for its truth, it has been denied by heretics, contradicted by naysayers, and burned by unbelievers. But the Word is eternal and confirms itself.
“For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all is fulfilled” (Matthew 5:18).
Furthermore, the Word is from the beginning of time and will be until the end of time. It was transformed into flesh to dwelt among men (John 10:1, 10). Though the Word was sacrificed to cover sin, it was resurrected, and it is still available for all to seek and believe.
The Word directs, informs, leads, and guides the human soul to maintain righteous characteristics, but also condemns, convicts, corrects, rebuke, and reprove people to live life on paths God has instructed to prepare for everlasting life with our Heavenly Father.
“Verly, verily, I say unto you, He that believes on me has everlasting life” (John 6:47)
Although, in several verses, the Bible applies feminine pronouns to identify the Word, the most fascinating and mystifying description was presented by the angel Gabriel (Luke 1:35).
