Faith Statement

A Prayer of Hope and its author (Edna Robinson) are inspired by God and believe the Bible is God’s infallible Word. God is the ultimate authority over human life and all that He has created in heaven and earth.

A Prayer of Hope and its author believe the Lord our God is One God who has presented Himself in three forms as the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost/Spirit for the purpose of saving, instructing, guiding, and encouraging His human creation. As a Father leading His children, He has instructed and led the Israelites through the desert and into the land that was promised to Abraham. As the Son, Jesus Christ the anointed One, He became our great Salvation to cover the sins of the world. As the Holy Ghost/Spirit, He comforts and guides into all truth.

A Prayer of Hope and its author believe in the virgin birth of Jesus Christ, His sinless life on earth, His miraculous healings of those suffering with afflictions and diseases, and His wise insightful teachings to lead people on paths of righteousness. Though He did no wrong, He was put to death by crucifixion. But He arose from the dead to life on the third day and was seen alive by over 500 people before ascending into heaven.

As the apostle Paul informs in the New Testament, “For I have delivered unto you for of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to scriptures; After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4, 6).
