Walk of Life

God’s Walk for Life Through His Way from His Word

“Your word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path” (Psalm 119:105).

“The Way, the Walk, and the Word” is the title of a poem in the poetry book, A Prayer of Hope, acknowledging how God uses three words to provide spiritual direction and understanding for all who believe and seek to know Him.

Although God’s Word is preached in sermons and read in Bible studies and homes throughout the world, many verses presenting spiritual instructions for living life appear to be overlooked or misunderstood.  Whereas the three words (way, walk, and word) are small and can infer different meanings depending on usage in sentences or verses; however, the Bible places great emphasis on each word to encourage God’s spiritual characteristics in the lives of believers.

“Teach me thy way, O LORD; I will walk in thy truth: unite my heart to fear thy name” (Psalm 86:11).

God’s Word inspires Christians to unite in honoring and worshipping Him by following His way, walk, and word for living life through faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. God’s instructions using those three words are found in specific verses leading to the spiritual walk of life. In addition, when read and understood accordingly, those verses also draw believers closer to God, as the Father of children that attentively listens to learn and grow in knowledge from Him.

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16).
